Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than facts.” According to neuroscientists, the nervous system cannot tell the difference between an imagined and an actual experience. While under hypnosis, college students were asked to imagine their hand immersed in ice water, and thermometer readings showed that the temperature dropped in that hand. When asked to imagine a spot on their foreheads as being hot, temperature readings showed an increase in skin temperature.

We can utilize our imagination to create in our mind positive, successful experiences, and our nervous system will accept them as real and help us move in the direction of creating them.
